One idea from Inside the Deal Room, made visual. Every two weeks.
You used to get $5M total across SBA programs. Now qualified buyers can get up to $5M through 7(a) and another $5M through 504: $10M combined.

What it's not: a $10M business acquisition loan. The 7(a) side is still capped at $5M.
What changed: eligible real estate and long-term equipment no longer eat into the same $5M ceiling as the business acquisition. This won’t change most deals – this only helps if a deal has a significant property or equipment component.
Worth watching: there's growing pressure to raise the $5M business cap itself. It hasn't moved since 2010, so inflation-adjusted, it'd be about $7.7M today. Businesses cost more now and eventually the cap will need to be raised.
